Our People
Bob McLynn
Founder
Chris Cornell
Co-Founder
Chris met Mike Pimco in high school and formed Kid With Man Head. Growing up in Ocean Grove, they surfed, wrote songs, and drank beers in old-school Asbury Park.
By the late ’90s, the band became a local staple, playing the Pony and Asbury Lanes before touring the U.S. and Canada with bands like Bad Religion and Blink-182.
Cornell later founded Manhead Merchandising, now the world’s largest independent merch company, producing and distributing for artists including Deftones, Dolly Parton, Weezer, Joji, and Fall Out Boy.
Bob has toured the world and put out records with several bands back in the 90’s-2001 (The Step Kings, Headlock).
He co-founded Crush Management (Green Day, Weezer, Lorde, Fall Out Boy etc) in NYC back in 2002. He opened the bar Angels and Kings in NYC, with others to follow in Chicago, LA and Barcelona. Started brewing beer out of the bar in Chicago back in 2009, then helped start Saint Archer Brewing in San Diego in 2013.
Like everyone who works at APB, beer and music are his passions.
Mike Pimco
Co-Founder
Former Kid with Manhead singer, Mike is a cornerstone of the Asbury Park scene. As a serial entrepreneur, he launched several local ventures, most notably Style Rocket.
This iconic beachfront boutique became a sanctuary for the city’s creatives, employing many locally famous artists and musicians while they honed their crafts and visionary pursuits.
Today, Mike remains a fixture of the community he helped build, still living and surfing the waves in the town he calls home.
Brian Durand
Managing Partner
Massachusetts transplant Brian grew up on the Jersey Shore, fueled by surfing, cold beers, and the eclectic sounds of Asbury Park’s music venues. He spent his youth soaking up the local culture with his crew.
He parlayed that passion into a successful 17-year career in the beer distribution business. This chapter lasted until April 2022, when a surprise phone call from Bob McLynn changed his trajectory.
Today, Brian is still a shore fixture. You’ll find him catching waves, grabbing drinks, and hanging in the same venues where it all began.
Joe Spinelli
CFO
Joe is a Rutgers graduate who headed to New England Law in Boston before returning home to launch a career in civil rights litigation. Beyond the courtroom, he worked closely with the city of Asbury Park to produce music festivals and local events.
Since 2015, Joe has been a powerhouse at Crush Music. As CFO, he manages the business side of the industry and oversees the prestigious Kurt Cobain estate, merging his legal expertise with his passion for music.
He continues to bridge the gap between high-level executive management and the local community that helped shape his journey.
Andy Lasiy
Head Brewer
Obsessive in his craft, Andy’s journey began while playing college soccer in Munich. There, he discovered world-class beer and never looked back, eventually graduating from the prestigious Siebel Institute in 2015.
He returned to New Jersey, honing his skills at several commercial breweries. From 2017 to 2023, he served as Head Brewer at Kane Brewing, where he designed and brewed multiple GABF and World Beer Cup medal-winning beers.
Andy’s meticulous approach to quality constantly pushes boundaries. Drawing inspiration from both cooking and Black Sabbath, he continues to innovate within the industry he loves.
Charlotte Nagy
Social Media & Marketing
Local through and through, Charlotte famously ditched her senior prom to catch a show in Asbury Park and hasn’t slowed down since. For her, the city’s vibrant energy is home.
You may recognize her from her time working at The Saint or assisting local bands with music video shoots along the boardwalk. She is a dedicated fixture in the local creative scene.
To Charlotte, music and Asbury are life. They are best enjoyed when paired with a great beer, keeping her roots firmly planted in the culture she loves.
